WORKSHOPS AT THE INN

Nestled amidst the rugged beauty of Newfoundland's coastline, the Bread and Cheese Country Inn is keen to offer our guests more than just a place to rest and recharge; we also want to provide a haven for creativity with an array of craft workshops that we are working with local artisans and craftspersons to develop.

Under the guidance of skilled local artisans in our cozy space and beautiful surroundings, visitors can immerse themselves in the rich heritage of Newfoundland's crafts, learning traditional techniques such as foraging, land jar making with local flowers and herbs, traditional cooking, rug hooking, etc.

With each carefully curated workshop, you not only hone your craft but also forge connections with local artisans and fellow participants and gain insight into the island's vibrant culture. Against the backdrop of rolling waves and salt-kissed air, these workshops become more than just lessons in craftsmanship; they become a journey of discovery and a celebration of Newfoundland's enduring spirit.

The workshops are organised by the artisans themselves, and we offer our Inn to them to develop and share their craft. For this reason we need to know your interest in the workshops before you arrive. There's a minimum number of participants needed in order to go ahead so please, if you are coming to visit us, let us know if you would be interested in any of the workshops below and we will do our utmost to make it happen!

These workshops are open to everyone, so even if you are not staying at our Inn you can still book in to take part.

Rainflowers Land Jar Workshop

Rhonda started her very own company to help connect others to nature through her workshops, nature walks and teachings. Participants will have an opportunity to connect with Mother Earth. In this Land Jar Workshop, you will:

- Learn about herbs and the designing elements for the jar

- Make your own Land Jar with gathered herbs to take home.

- Engage in a question-and-answer session about foraging, preserving, and properties of the herbs, etc.

Length of workshop: 1.5 hours

Cost of workshop per person:  $60.00
